Robotics at Te Hapua

Lance Muller —

Each week a group of year 7/8 students attends coding and robotic workshops at Te Hapua.

Our weekly visits to Te Hapua are always a fun filled and interesting affair. The students are split into two  groups and participate in either coding or robotics. Coding involves  writing code using the programme Scratch  while the robotics workshop sees students programming Lego Robots to complete a number of challenges.

The tasks and challenges are hard and lots of the students have found themselves deep in the learning pit. It has been great to see the students applying resilience in these situations and working hard to achieve their goals. See the video below to see an example of what we have been up to.

If you have not already done so, please ask your child to share some of their Te Hapua experience with you.
