Here's a bit of a run down of the week at hand.

Swimming at Te Hapua

The focus and the purpose of this programme has been to develop student safety in and around water. 

The first two session are for the instructors to get to know the students and assessing their swimming ability. The reasoning for this is to see how far they can take the students in the swimming lesson but also to tailor the lessons to meet everyone's needs. The other three sessions are based on Water Safety. Due to the weather, we were able to complete the follow three sessions.

Uniquely NZ Book Creator

One of the final parts of our Uniquely New Zealand unit of learning was to create an online booklet. Students had to think about content that they would share for a age group here at school, which tells the story of what they have learned about in Uniquely New Zealand.

Formal Dance

This week has proved hard for Formal Dance. We had no actual sessions booked in at the church due to swimming. We have been building our dance routine for the Rock and Roll dance in class when we've had time. 

Next Week

In Week 8, Mark, Lance and myself are off to Glentui from Tuesday - Friday. The Year 7 Students will be involved in a learning programme back at school which is heavily aimed at Leadership. We have two outside providers coming into the school to help further develop and foster leadership in the group.
