In Room 12, our integrated topic for the term is based around the chickens and the food forest. Here is what we have learnt so far...

We have started our integrated topic by looking at the chickens and thinking about things we want to learn about them.

Here are some of our 'Chicken Wonderings'....

• How do they lay eggs?
  
• How do they sleep?
  
• Why do they make noises?
  
• Do they drink freshwater or salt water?
  
• How do chickens lay different coloured eggs?
  
• Why do their wings need to be clipped?

We will be exploring these questions over the next few weeks.

We have also drawn and labelled diagrams of chickens. At the end of the term we will draw another one using all of our new knowledge we have learnt. 

Last week we also went into the food forest behind our classroom and collected seeds from the dead plants. We will be replanting these seeds in spring later on in the year.
