Year 4 Mean Monster Soup

The Year 4 Hub have had a huge focus on Procedural Writing over the past few weeks. We have all written a few different sets of instructions from 'How to wash a dog' to 'How to make avocado on toast'.

A big focus has been using the correct writing structure and using verbs/adverbs to tell the reader HOW they want the step to be done.

For a bit of fun to finish off the unit we all got creative to invent a disgusting soup for a monster! Have a read of some of our MEAN MONSTER SOUP instructions and check out the photos below!!!

Mean Monster Soup

How to make soup for a mean monster.

What do you need.

  • Soap

  • Suncream

  • Slime

  • Ear wax

  • Fish guts

  • Poisonous slugs

  • Stuffing

  • Paint

  • Rotten skin

  • Coloured ink

Instructions

1.Pour the soap onto the ear wax. Then slam dunk them into the pot.

2.Crunch the poisonous slugs then mix them with the slime and dunk them into the cauldron.

3.Get the fish guts and put them on a tray.Then mix some paint and coloured ink.Then put them on a tray.

4.Pour the suncream onto the rotten skin then kick them into the cauldron.

5.Grab the stuffing and chuck it into the pot.

6.Get some paint and mix it with some stuffing and pencil sharpenings.

7.Stab some dog guts and dip into some blood then take them out let it dry for 60 minutes then toss it into the pot.

8.Grab some stinky socks and put into blood and dump into the pot.

9.Fish out a deed fish and mix it into the suncream then make it smelly by putting stinky socks into it then put it into the pot.

10.Go to a volcano and grab a bag of volcanic rocks then take them to the pot then mix and then take it to the mean monster.

Monster Soup.

Goal make soup fit for a monster.

What you need.

  • Human blood

  • Snake head

  • Stinky socks

  • Toxic farts

  • Brains

  • Fish guts

  • Giant eyeballs

  • Elephant toenails

  • Pig snot

  • Hamster claws

Instructions

1. Quickly slam dunk the stinky socks into the pot.

2. Slowly crush the eyeballs in fish guts then throw them in the soup.

3.Squash the pig snot in the brains before you head butt it into the pot.

4.Bat the snakehead in the soup then squirt in the toxic farts.

5. Pour the blood in the pot before you punch some more eyeballs into the soup.

6.Throw more stinky socks in the soup then shoot more fish guts into the pot.

7.Throw some elephant toenails into the soup.

8.Chop hamster claws in half and dunk them in the soup.

9.Thow some eyeballs and fish guts in the pot.

10.Dunk another snake head into the cauldron.

11.Mix it with a spoon and enjoy your monster soup.

  • Rifle

  • 10 bug legs

  • Human brain

  • Mouldy seaweed

  • Eyeballs

  • Mouldy toe nails

Instructions

  1. Body slam the stinky socks into the pot while karate chopping the rifle into the pot.

  2. Carefully pour the 10 bug legs into the pot.

  3. Crush the bones into the pot.

  4. Throw the eyeballs into the pot.

  5. Carefully pour the toxic chemicals into the pot.

  6. Sprinkle the mouldy toe nails into the pot.

  7. Put the mouldy seaweed into chunks then slam dunk them into the pot.

  8. Throw the human brain into the pot.

  9. Body slam the human guts into the pot.

  10. Enjoy.
