We are having a busy and exciting term! Here are some highlights. 

Literacy Week

We had so much fun this week, and it hooked students into their Literacy learning. Check out the photo below of Room 6 dressed up as their favourite book characters!

Pet Day

We had many special furry classmates join us on Friday for Pet Day. Guests included Zara's dog Barney, Daphne's dog Leo, Miss O'Connor's dog Polly and Mrs Baker's dog Pepper. We also really enjoyed the parade out on the field, and all the interesting pets to see and pat in the hall!

Prepared Reading Competition

The students are busy getting ready for the competition this week. They are focussing on making their presentations interesting by using expression, movement and eye contact. Here are some photos of us practicing. 

Gala Performance

Not long to go until the big performance at our Celebration of Learning on Friday night! We are singing and dancing to Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay, and singing to Have You Ever Seen the Rain with the accompaniment of guitars. 

Student Led Conferences

Students are making Google Slideshows to present their learning and goals at the Student Led Conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. They are looking forward to sharing with their whanau next week.

Pop Art

Miss MacKenzie showed us how to make our art look really bold and effective by using a technique called Pop Art. Have a look at our awesome results.
