2019 has been an exciting, fun, and a great year for me. My biggest highlight was probably the Gala because I was struggling with my dance quite a lot but when it came to the day of the Gala I performed well, My second biggest highlight was AVAILLL because it was something different for literacy plus we got to watch a movie.

2019 has been a pretty good year for me, even though I started school this term ( term four ) one of my highlights was the Yr 6 leadership program, in this program I was really focused and enjoyed learning about how to be a leader. My second highlight was athletics and the last one was the beep test according to the beep test I did quite well and best of I enjoyed it.. This year/ term has been a great term for me. Moving on to Yr 7 n’ 8 seems quite exciting. My teacher were also very nice and helped me with my mistakes and gave me confidence.

2019 has been a great year for me. One of my most favourite highlights was definitely athletics, My strength is high jump, which I got to Canterburys for, I unquestionably enjoyed high jump, my highest jump is 126cm. I also got to the SW zones for shot put and sprints. Another of my highlights is camp, which we had in term 1 at Waipara Adventure camp, my favourite activity was certainly the giant swing, we got into a harness and were pulled up quite high, then dropped and it was like a massive swing, (hence the name) it was nerve racking. I also enjoyed free time, where we went into the lake, and the water was really really cold.

The obvious highlight for 2019 was the year 6 camp at Waipara Adventure Center. Out of all of the activities there that was probably my favourite was the giant swing, a massive contraption involving going many metres in the air and swinging down. (In a harness, of course.) overall, 2019 has been my best year, and I’m really going to miss Oaklands next year.

2019 has been my favourite year at Oaklands School. I am going to leave school next year (2020) And it is a really hard thing to walk away from. Because I’m going to leave school, I’m going to miss my friends, teachers and ALL those fun things we do at Oaklands. My highlight(s) this year is The Year 6 Waipara Camp. The best thing of Waipara camp is probably Kayaking.
Logan Hargrove
Two thousand and nineteen has been my favourite year at Oaklands school, fun packed and ready for my year six to be epic! The best thing this year is obviously hub 6 Waipara Adventure camp, any year 5 should be very excited for this. last year, we went to Woodend this was fun but nothing compared to waipara! There was; giant swing, raft building, raft racing, canoeing, swimming, crate stacking, flying fox, waterslide & more. In my opinion, Wiapara will probably be the best camp I will ever been on future and past! If you ever have the opportunity to go there, do.

For 2019 my highlights are coming down to Oaklands and yet still being able to go down to the one and only Dunedin to see my best friends. As well as seeing my wonderful dad but Oaklands school has given a great 2 terms and made me feel welcome. Especially the students and in the future I will try my hardest to get a sports scholarship and play hockey in the olympics.

2019 has been by far my favorite year, everything about it made me love being a year 6! But my most favorite highlights are Winter Sports, Waipara Camp and the marae trip. For Camp it was a thrilling experience and I’d definitely like to go again with all my friends.
Winter Sports I was in the Netball B team, and we had some fair games. But it was an amazing experience with all my friends. We came third overall and I was player of the season!
With the marae trip, I truly enjoyed learning about all the stuff that the Marae had to offer. We did so many cool activities. My swimming this year has definitely improved, by me going to SW zones
