Our largest team ever of duathletes descended on Ruapuna Park Raceway recently to take on the might of Canterbury's best multi-sport students.

Initially a little cold and windy, it turned out to be ideal conditions for a running and cycling race. Undaunted by the  600+ students competing, Team Oaklands put their best foot ( and wheel) forward as they chased a personal best in their respective race.

Quite a bit of preparation was put into training prior to the event, and this showed up as our wonderful students gave a good account of themselves.

Whilst not placing in the top few positions, our athletes can be very proud of themselves for taking on the challenge. 

I am sure that they are all keen to do the same next year.

A big ' Thank You' goes out to our wonderful parents and grandparents who transported us to and from the event, as well as cheered us on when the going got tough. We really appreciated your support.
