The Year 7/8 Farewells Mrs Baker
This Friday we farewell Mrs Baker who is leaving us to start an exciting new chapter as a Mum!
Bittersweet (adjective) - pleasure tinged with sadness and pain.
Bittersweet perfectly sums up how we are all feeling in the Year 7/8 Hub this week. On one hand we are happy and excited for Mrs Baker as she leaves us to become a Mum. On the other, we are sad to be losing an amazing teacher and a fantastic colleague.
Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari kē he toa takitini!
This whakatauki acknowledges team effort; that one’s success is due to the support and contribution of many. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes community/a team to enable an individual’s success.
Thank you Mrs Baker for the BIG PART that you have played in the success of our team.
Thanks Mrs Baker.....We will miss your smile, your sunny disposition and your readiness to muck in wherever needed. We'll miss your amazing ability to find our phones and keys whenever we lose them. We'll also miss your ability to bring harmony to our hub when we get ourselves wound up about things. Most of all, we'll miss a good friend. Thanks for being a brilliant part of our team.
