What an exciting week we have had in celebrating our learning in the Arts and Science this term, in the form of our School Production "The Stars of Matariki"

We have been reflecting on our learning for the Term and our students have identified some high points for them.

Events included Bullly Free Week NZ and Pink Shirt Day, Winter Sports Trials, The Stars of Matariki Production, the Science learning we did around sound and light, and the School Disco.

Jake: Making a kite was a lot of fun because it was hard and fun at the same time.

Sebastian: What I like about the Winter Sports Trials is that we got to try out different sports and we had a good chance to get into a sports team. The sport I trialed for is hockey because I am already in a soccer team and I have not done hockey in a long time. I made it in the A team because I tried my best and gave it my all. The trials were on every Friday for the past 3 weeks.

Ollie B:  A highlight for me is pink shirt day.because it has a very good reason to celebrate. People unite against bullying to stop bullying across the entire world.

Jason: A few highlights from this term include Mrs Fuller having a baby and the Matariki production. I liked it when Mrs Fuller did a gender reveal because it was exciting and it was a boy!! I enjoyed the production because at first, I didn't want to do it, but it turned out ok! Another part of the production I enjoyed was making and preparing for it because it was quite fun designing our kites and painting our shirts. I was on night two. There were three nights one, two, and three. So these two are my highlights for Term Two!

Liam P: A highlight for me this term was grouping because I am now away from everyone else, I also understand learning better. I like the classroom set up.

Mason W: One of my favourite highlights this term is the disco because I got to play with my friend and I got to buy awesome stuff! Also when the rickroll song came on it was pretty funny.

Another of my favourite highlights this term was the production because we got to make kites and learn a dance. When I went to the real production at 5:30, I met Austin and Oscar and we went to the Year 1 space.

Isla: Term 2 has been an amazing term of exciting activities.We have had a production, the school choir visited the Te Hapua Library, we did science and we had Winter Sport trials, but my absolute favourite was the White Ferns visiting.

Zara: A highlight for me this term has been Winter Sports trials because iI got in the A team and it's my first time in the A team because last year, 2022, I got in the B team. I trialed for hockey this year and last year I enjoyed doing hockey so I trialed for it this year again. I play hockey out of school with Megan and Skylar.

Lucy T: THE WHITE FERNS

This term was crazy! But one thing I want to talk about today is the White Ferns visiting!!!  Our teacher said that the White Ferns were going to visit our school, I was so excited for them to come, and I really enjoyed the experience.

Pranavi: A highlight for me is the Winter Sport trials. I got into a team and I am the team captain of the Hockey B team.
