Cunningham Place Entrance update
There is no walking access along the carpark by the hall. This is due to the contractors realigning their site. This includes the area behind the old dental clinic which is now closed. The access from Brenda Place is now completed and you can walk through on the new asphalt paving. There is still no car parking inside the school grounds as we have limited space. Access is unavailable between the hours of 6.30am to 5.30pm as this entrance is very busy with tradespeople as well as staff parking.
Cunningham car park has always been a busy entrance and with the second stage of our rebuild this entrance is now the builders only site access. The contractors moved their entrance site to enable us to have full access to the field which is being enjoyed by our students this week. For the safety of our students we are trying to limit the number of vehicles entering the school and ask for your co-operation.
For parents who use the Oscar service they will be contacting families to remind them of the information shared last year. Even those early morning drop offs coincide with heavy vehicles bringing in building supplies. If you are dropping your child off at Oscar we would suggest using Jarrow Place which now been resealed for pedestrians. The access to Oscar is fully fenced for students entering the school.
We are presently installing gates to all our entrances as part of a MOE project. The plan is that the gates will be closed at 9.15am and reopened at 2.45pm. If your child is bringing a scooter or bike we recommend they are locked for extra security in the cages provided.
