Home Learning will start in week 3 of Term one. 

Home Learning expectations for Year 7/8 students for 2017 are as follows. 

IXL Maths - students need to complete 1 and a half hours  ( 1hr 30mins) of IXL Maths activities each week.  Activities need to be at a suitable level. We will be using IXL as part of our in class Maths programme so students will be able to practice activities at home that support what they are doing in class. We suggest that students do a little bit of IXL Maths each evening rather than leaving it all to be done in one night. 

Reading - There is no online reading log this year. Instead we have issued students the challenge of reading 40 books in a year. 20 books are of their own choice. For the other 20 we have given  them a range of genres that we would like the to read from.  We have provided students with a template to record their progress towards this 40 book challenge. 

We will be holding students accountable and will be checking home learning each Friday morning.
