Lyric Writing Workshop
Three very capable year 7/8 writers recently attended a lyric writing workshop.
On the last day of Term 1, three very capable year 7/8 writers attended a lyric writing workshop. Novelty factor was high and the workshop was unlike anything else the students had ever experienced. We will be looking to explore more opportunities like this in the future. Watch this space.
Read what the girls thought about their day below.
Dabok, Maddy and Ashley's thoughts on the lyric writing workshop:
At the start we sat in a circle and made a song with our names and an adjective that starts with the same letter eg Luscious Lisa. Then we split up to make songs of our own. These had to be based on the topic of a food court. This was challenging.
Next the whole class made a song about a boy with social problems, who eats lunch by himself.
The best part of the day was the whole group making a song together because we all got to put our thoughts together and combine them into a song.
