Community Meeting, Wednesday 11 May, 7pm

Caroline Martin —

We invite you to take part in the exciting process of planning for the redesign of the learning spaces at  Oaklands School to meet the needs of our students now and into the future.

Many schools in Canterbury are being rebuilt (completely or partially) after the earthquakes. Rather than simply rebuilding those schools as they were, we have an opportunity to look ahead and construct innovative physical environments that enable future-focused education for all learners and their communities. Building new learning environments means developing new ways of working in those environments.  On the 1 October Oaklands School will present an Education Brief to the Ministry of Education which will be the blueprint for architects to design our new buildings.  We value the contribution of all members of the Oaklands School community and hope you can join with us on 11 May to begin the consultation process.
