C.A.R.E Club
The C.A.R.E Club was brought into Oaklands break times to promote positive play in the playground. It provides tamariki with an opportunity to engage in an activity that is highly structured and is run by a teacher.
Some of the activities have been Football, Coding, Cricket, Scatter Ball, Rounders, and Bat Down. There are more activities coming and the students are excited to be playing different games to what they are used to playing in the playground.
Due to popular success that the C.A.R.E Club has had, we are now starting up a second C.A.R.E Club in Term 2. We are using this as an opportunity to provide our students with more opportunities to get involved in activities that they normally won't.
Students that are in C.A.R.E Club can earn C.A.R.E Club Cards, Parent to Teacher Connection slips and C.A.R.E tokens to celebrate their successes that they have in their break times.
