In the spirit of demonstrating our Community Value, we will be profiling two of the Student Leaders at Oaklands School each week.

This week we profile two of our House Captains. Karlie Wright and Sam Iffland are the Miro House Captains.  Read all about them below.

Name: Karlie Wright.

Student leader Position: Miro House Captain

Some interesting facts/info about me: Hi my name is Karlie, I’m 12 years old and I’m in the role of a House Captain. Outside of school I like to hang out with friends and spend time with my family. At home I live in a big family of seven (including me), 4 of the members being my siblings. I have been at Oaklands for 8 and a half years and have enjoyed my time. My two favourite subjects at school are Reading and Writing. On Friday I enjoy going down to the junior classrooms for buddy programme and connecting with our little buddies. My birthday is on the 27th of August, and this year I am turning 13 years old. I have really enjoyed being a House Captain so far this year, and having all these opportunities given to me. I’m excited to see what the next two terms have in store for me as a student leader.

Some interesting facts/info about me: Hi my name is Sam. I love to play sports like Rugby, Cricket, Basketball and Touch. In my free time I like to hang out with my mates. This year at school I have really enjoyed the leadership opportunities I have got being a House Captain.
