Year 1 Week 9
We are close to the end of the term and we are all getting excited as we prepare for the School Production next week!
Our tamariki have been practising hard for our production next week! With the last two weeks of Term 2's focus being around Matariki, celebrating the Māori New Year, we got busy creating our Matariki themed costumes. Our students have also enjoyed engaging in many Matariki learning stations and activities.
It has been a very busy but enjoyable week preparing students for the Production. Students have participated in rehearsals leading up to the Production night next week. We are very proud of the efforts and focus that students have put into getting ready for the big night!
In Waka Toru we had a visit from St Johns and we learnt how to put people into the 'stable' position if they are unconscious. We also learnt how to call 111 in an emergency and how to apply a bandage to help stop heavy bleeding.

At the end of the production your child will need to be collected from Waka Toru again. There will be snacks available at the half time intermission and glow toys at the end of the production to purchase.
