Year 2 at the A&P Show

Alex HORN —

Last week the Year 2s were lucky enough to go to the A&P Show, the sun came too, which made the day hot but a lot of fun.

Some of the things we were able to do were:

  • A scavenger hunt to collect the stamps from key places around the show
  • Visit the farmyard to see the farm animals such as cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits, horses, chickens, even bees
  • Looking at the tractors and combines and even getting to sit in them, who knew the police had their own tractor?
  • Watching the dirt-bike riders performing tricks
  • Watching the woodchopping competition
  • Practicing our turtles while in the Earthquake simulator
  • Watching the helicopters taking off
  • Lunch on the Tip-Top lawn included a blow up 4-way soccer pitch and circus performer games

Thank you to all the parent helpers who volunteered to help out for the day. Without you the trip would not have bee possible!
