Need to know -  

• Unwell/ symptomatic students will be sent to the office and sent home. 
  

• We ask for students to arrive at school no earlier than 8:30am. School gates remain locked until 8:30am.  

• There will be hand sanitiser at the door. All students need to apply sanitiser as they walk in the door. 

• Year 8 to enter the main door and Year 7 to enter the sliding door.
  

• Phones to be put into the cellphone box as students arrive.
  

• All student cubbies have been moved and renamed. We will help them find this when they arrive. 

• It is essential that all students bring a named drink bottle. There will be no access to water fountains. Water bottles can be refilled in the hub kitchen.

• Please ensure all personal items are named e.g. stationery, headphones and uniform.

• BYOD devices need to come fully charged at the start of each day. We suggest students bring their chargers to school if they know their devices lose charge quickly.

• Sports gear - none from home please.

• For students who borrowed a school chromebook over the lockdown period - please bring the chromebook and charger back to the 7/8 hub on Monday morning, not to the school office. 
  

• We are having a focus on The Arts on our return to school and we ask that students please bring any colouring pencils/felts to school.

If your child is not returning to school and requires distance learning, please email year7and8hub@oaklands.school.nz and next week we will provide you with learning for the week beginning Monday 25th May. For the week beginning Monday 18th May, you can access the Home Learning TV and refer to the hub distance learning slideshow to complete/revise any learning from the last 5 weeks.
