The ins and outs of the second week of the school year.

Reading

We have been bringing home browsing box books this week. Guided reading starts next week.

Writing

We started our guided writing this week, each class used a different emotional hook to inspire the children to write. Mr Horn used his magic vanishing marbles. Miss O'Loughlin looked at her amazing caterpillars and swan plants. Mr Morehu  was writing about a video called Big Buck Bunny.

Maths

We have been learning about probability this week and will continue with it next week. We are learning about terms such as "possible/impossible" and  "will/might/wont".

PE - Swimming

The Year 2 Blue Hub will be swimming on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until the pool closes.

Library

We will be going to the library on Thursday afternoons

Integrated Topic - Learning Plan

We have been looking at Hector's World to learn about Cyber Safety. With a focus on keeping our information private.

What's Happening Next Week?

- Goal Setting meetings are after school on Monday and Tuesday. School will NOT close early.

- Reading programmes start next Tuesday

- Home Communication books start coming home next Tuesday

- The teachers will be on CRT release on Monday and the reliever team will be in the Year 2 Hubs

- Mr Horn will be on ICT release on Tuesday morning.
