Our Netball teams had a great year. We had a good mixture of girls learning the game and girls who were able to act as leaders for others. Here are their thoughts:
Year 5/6 Netball A
Madeline
This year it has been a real opportunity for me as a captain, I have enjoyed being part of a team, cheering my teammates on. Something that I am so proud of is being a part of going to Zones and Canterbury Tournament, and even though we didn’t get quite as good as I wanted at the Tournament, we all still tried our best. Something that was challenging for not just me but the whole team was at tournament, when we had a disagreement with the other team about the score. Something challenging for me was watching my team miss a pass and then yelling at them when I know I shouldn’t be doing it. Something that we could improve on is passing into space and running onto the ball. Another area we have improved on is making our passes stronger through out the season.
I have enjoyed playing for the Netball A team this year. It was fun when we went to Centrals. Siobhan Kenna
I liked being vice captain of the team. I liked it how we all worked together and made it to Zones and Central's. Riley Betman
I really enjoyed being part of the Netball A team this year. We had some great games and it has been a really good opportunity for me, as I have never tried Netball, and to play it with such an great group of girls has been awesome. Annabelle
Year 5/6 Netball B

Winter Sport this year has been very fun because most of us hadn't done Winter Sport before. The team B team didn't have a very good start to the season. In our first game we lost 31-0 but as the year went by we got better scores like 26-2. Then in our second to last game we finally won. In our last game we also won 12-8. We were very happy. But we still enjoyed the games we didn't win because it's not all about winning. The B team has improved a lot this year. We have been very fortunate to have very nice weather. Lots of our team have not played Netball before. At the start of the season we were grade B then after the 5th game we got moved to grade C, it was a bit of a disappointment for us but it was worth it. This season was so much fun. I hope I continue playing Netball.
Natalia: It was challenging at the start of the season but near the end of the season it was easier.
Johanna: I really enjoyed playing Netball this year because it was my first year doing Winter sport.
Annabelle- I enjoyed winning the last two games.
