Rebuild Update

Karen Mackie —

Exciting times ahead.....

On Thursday (weather dependant) our builders will start pouring the concrete floor slab for our new library and teaching block. This new building is near the Cunningham Place side of our school. Concrete trucks will be coming in after school hours to pour the large slab. Over the next 2 weeks builders will also be using large diggers in the area where the junior playground used to be to prepare the site for a classroom to be built.

We appreciate your efforts during the term to clear the school grounds after 3.15pm (with the exception of Oscar programme) so builders have the area to themselves.

During the holidays our builders, Hann Construction, will be really busy. One of the things they will be doing is digging additional channels all through school grounds to lay cables for things such as power and internet. There will be lots of diggers and activity and because of this we ask you to stay away from the school grounds wherever possible during the two week holiday period.

When you return from the holidays, the builders will have started work on putting up the structures of the two new buildings that will become our new office, and new library and teaching space. They will also be refurbishing the existing office/admin area and already have most of this gutted so it is looking very bare and open.
