Pixie Clark's Royal New Zealand Ballet Experience

Karen Mackie —

On the 8th of September The Royal New Zealand Ballet had audition's for there upcoming show of Hansel and Gretel and were looking for Children to play a part as a bird in the forest to sweep up the bread crumbs that Hansel and Gretel left behind.

I was one chosen out of about 60 kids to fill one of 14 extras they were looking for. We had 2 days of rehearsals and then I got to star in the opening show which was Thursday the 21st of November and the closing show which was Saturday 23rd November. I had the best time and the whole company was so amazing to me , it's my dream to become a full time dancer wih them when I am older .

This is my 2nd time being in there shows, last year I had the opportunity to have 2 parts in The Nutcracker.

I am now rehearsing for my dance school end of year production Snow White , which I am playing Bashful Dwarf, it is being held on Saturday 30th November 4pm at the beautiful Isaac Theatre Royal. Tickets on sale at Ticketek everyone welcome :)
