Integrated Learning

Define - Based on our understanding of the issue, the aspects of our new space that we can realistically influence are:

  • Furniture.

  • How we use the space. How the space works/the systems.

  • How we use the space. Where and what/physical space.

  • The Green Room.

  • Indoor and outdoor gardens/ plants.

  • Court design/ playground markings.

Ideate - Students have selected one area to focus on and are beginning to think BIG by generating as many ideas as they can.

Prototype - Our next step is to investigate and research further into how our ideas can be turned into reality.

Novel Study

This week we wrap up our Novel Study for the term. Over the last 5 weeks students have completed reading their novel, completed activities focusing on themes, key events, vocabulary and characters.

Blue Fish Project

The Student Volunteer Army is collaborating with Christchurch City Council on the Blue Fish Project and have invited us to participate.

We have been lucky enough to be gifted 15 'blue fish' (and eels)  to attach next to drains in our community. They have provided the fish and eels, the drill bits, instructions, and an information resource. We just need to provide the student volunteer energy and maybe some cheesy photos!

Due to the overwhelming interest in students being part of this project we put names of interested students into a hat and drew out 15. Further information and resources will be sent home with these 15 students soon.
