Waka Toru and Tahi have had a super star week, check it out.

Production:

With the production being in week 10 it is fast approaching. There are a couple of things that your child will require for the evening to be successful. Students will need to be at school by 5:30pm on their designated night at the latest and will be meeting in our normal classroom (Waka Tou). We also ask that your child come dressed in black (navy/dark if black is not available) top and pants (long or short sleeve is fine). These black clothes will NOT be painted and we will dress the students in their costumes when they arrive. At the end of the production your child will need to be collected from Waka Toru. There will be snacks available at the half time intermission and glow toys at the end of the production to purchase. We are so excited for you all to see your amazing children perform.

Glow:

Over the past two weeks we have been exploring the provocation of ‘Glow’. With this in mind students have learnt about different animals that glow and why they glow, completed science experiments using glow sticks to learn about heat reactions, used arts and crafts to explore things that glow and so much more. A big part of this was our glow in the dark Jellyfish making learning station which ākonga really enjoyed.

Lunch Food:

Currently students are coming with lunches that require cutlery but have no cutlery in their lunch box. Could you please ensure your child has cutlery in their lunch box if their food requires it.
