Physical Activity Leaders

Lance Muller —

Physical Activity Leaders or PALs for short, provide opportunities for positive physical activity for all students at Oaklands.

One of the many leadership opportunities available to Year 7 and 8 students at Oaklands is PALs. This year we have a group of 30 PALs working in groups of 3 to run a  variety of different games and activities each lunchtime for both Kauri and Kakano students. Being a PAL provides students with a fantastic opportunity to gain real life skills that could one day transfer into roles such as teaching and coaching.

Some popular PALs games and activities include small field football, dodgeball, Ripper Rugby, moon hopper relays and tag games galore. Students who participate in PALs activities can earn POZI's for their efforts.

The PALs are visible in the playground as they wear bright orange vests and it is great to see more and more students getting involved in PALs activities. If you haven't given PALs a go yet we challenge you to get involved.
