The EPro8 Challenge is a competition that combines , Design and Technology, Engineering and Problem Solving. Every year over 10,000 students from 900 schools from throughout New Zealand take part.
This is the first year that Oaklands will be participating in the EPro8 Challenge. We have entered two teams of four into the challenge. The students representing us in this challenge are Matthew Randall, Luca Damiani, Rose Brorens, Morgan Leoni, Luke Mcintosh, Patrick Corcoran, Isabella Ge and Eden Greaves.
The school has purchased an Epro8 Kit; which arrived last week. The kit contains all sorts of construction goodies (check out the photos) and the students have been experimenting with these over the course of this week.
We have until the 7th of August to complete the first round of challenges. The beginning of Term 3 will be a busy and productive time for this tech savvy group of students.
We look forward to sharing our progress and achievements with you in due course. In the meantime, check out the EPro8 Website to see some more details of what the challenge is all about.
