THANK YOU to the students of Oamaru Intermediate
The Oamaru Combined Churches Christmas Parcels Trust wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to the students and community of Oamaru Intermediate. They were blown away at the presents we had bought with the proceeds from our Mufti Day for the Christmas Parcels Project.
The aim of the Christmas Parcels Project is to provide each nominated family with the makings of a Christmas dinner and with gifts for each family member. The criteria for families to be recipients is that are experiencing hardship or are in desperate need at Christmas.
There are also some photos included of the mammoth task of assembling the parcels. What a production this is! Families receive between one and four boxes, depending on the family composition and the size of the gifts included. The parcels are collected and delivered by people from the nominating agencies on the Tuesday before Christmas.
