O.I.S. received wonderful feedback from a gentleman who was also involved in the consultation process and Mayor Gary Kircher. A big thank you to the Year 8 teachers for their involvement.

"It was really wonderful to see students of Oamaru Intermediate School participate in the Forrester Heights Consultation. I thank the staff and students for spending time thinking about what should be done to the area. It is really important that we have a vibrant local democracy, and that only happens if our community are willing to express their views. I read your submissions and watched most of them online and it was fantastic to hear what you think should be done.I hope that some of the students might consider becoming councilors (or the Mayor!) in the future :) so congratulations to you all".
