Our Purpose: To prepare students to be active participants who will contribute to their community.
As we embark on another new year at OIS, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new families and staff to our community. We were excited to have the students back yesterday.
We have 180 new enrolments this year along with four new staff members.

The first three weeks is settling in time, a time where students become familiar with OIS expectations, routines and new classmates. Teachers will be working with your children to build new relationships both inside and outside the classroom.
We are a Positive Behaviour for Learning School and our core values have a strong emphasis on positive relationships, respect and responsibility.
At OIS we talk about being IDEAL students
I.. Dare to Succeed
I.. Engage with Mana
I.. Act with Respect
I.. Learn with Purpose
As a staff, we are committed to doing our best in educating your child and know that we have the best interest of your child at heart.
I do ask that you support us and allow your child the opportunity to step up and be responsible for their learning and behaviour. Intermediate is a special stage in your child’s life, we look forward to supporting your child on their journey.
Your first point of contact is your child’s teacher, we have a teacher evening for parents on Wednesday 17 February starting at 7 pm.
