We are in the midst of a very busy three week period. Two weeks ago we had our Open Night for 2020 enrolments, our Cross Country event that Friday, Netball finals last Saturday and I attended the South Island Intermediate Principals Conference in Christchurch for three days.

Only 4 services will be running on Monday. They are as follows: Airedale, Maheno, Clifton Falls and Town Bus. This is due to High Schools being closed for their mid-term break.

The raffle tickets for this fundraiser will be given out tomorrow to those families who are still needing to fundraise for Year 8 camp.

OIS has just commenced a very successful 2019 Netball season. We had 8 teams part of the North Otago competition on Saturdays.

This group of amazing students from our Powerup Intermediate hub were given an opportunity a few weeks ago to include music as part of their learning in their Powerup sessions.

On Tuesday, 35 students as part of the Kapahaka group, travelled to the Opera House to perform in the bi-annual North Otago Hui Ako festival.

The Fiefia evening was held at the Waitaki Recreation Centre last week.

Last week every class had a free session with Kirsty from St John's in Schools around emergency first aid.

During the 2018 calf season a number of dairy farmers in our community elected our school to receive a donation of $0.50 per calf of every calf received by their local processor Oamaru Meats Ltd.
