During lunchtime today our students were fortunate to have the New Zealand Heartland XV spend some time on our sports field. What really impressed me was how kind and respectful these guys were with our students. The time they gave, the conversations they had, and as for the haka… very moving.

To Ana Kaufana who entered the AQA Rock our Future School Competition. This was a NZ-wide Competition. Ana was the Year 7 winner and won a $100 Prezzy Card voucher and $1000 for Oamaru Intermediate School. Well done Ana!

What an amazing opportunity our students had today at lunchtime when we shared the sports field with the New Zealand Heartland XV. It was great to see them playing lacrosse and simple ball with our students, and some of our students showing them how it’s done!

Can we ask parents and students to wait up on the grandstand if they arrive early to Futsal. This is to avoid big crowds both on the courts and in the foyer. If a parent is managing a team, could they also watch the game in the grandstand (this is only possible for court 1). After each game, the adults in charge are to vacate the court asap, to allow for the next game to start on time. Thanks
