Most of you will be familiar with school PTA's from your child's previous school. Our PTA exists to help supply extra funding to ensure our school can continue to provide our learners with the best experiences during their time at OIS. Previous projects have been supplying extra classroom Chromebooks, PE equipment, library equipment, and more.

Attending school every day is essential for the overall development of each person. It raises a young person's reading, writing, numeracy/maths and other social skills, they feel confident in the classroom, they make friends, build social skills and build good healthy habits for life.

We are very pleased to let you know about this fantastic workshop from Recycle A Device coming to town. The workshop is for rangatahi aged between 12 years and 30 years of age and teaches them how to refurbish a laptop and the importance of keeping e-waste out of landfills. There are limited spaces for this fantastic free workshop. Lunch will be provided and no cost to this workshop. There are only 20 spots available. Register by Monday 11 March.
