Here are some dates to remember of events happening throughout Term 1 at OIS. Please note that in week 7 we have a Professional Learning Teacher Only Day on Friday 21 March. This day is for Professional Development and school will be closed.

Our Purpose: To prepare students to be active participants who will contribute to their community.
Public Health Nurse
The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Programme will be offered to all Year 8 students at school. During February, the Public Health Nurses associated with each school will be doing education around the vaccinations to the Year 8 students.

Reminder: Parents are required to report their child's absence before 9 am each day. We have had a large number of students arriving late to school each morning. School starts at 8.45 am. Please ensure your child arrives to school on time.

We are selling our OIS sports hoodie. This is an optional sweatshirt that students can wear when representing Oamaru Intermediate when playing sports, school exchanges, on sports days, and other school events when wearing PE gear.

Are you a parent or caregiver of a neurodivergent child? Able Minds Oamaru is a safe place where parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children can share experiences and gain support from one another.
