- SKOOL LOOP: please look for notices and info on Skool Loop, especially if you don't have an email. Remember you don't need credit on your phone to be able to utilise this app.
- Breakfast and lunch club: our school is a part of the Kidstart Weetbix Programme. Your child is welcome to go to the food room before school and at lunchtime if they need breakfast or lunch. This is open to anyone and we do not take a roll. Often students will come into this club if they have forgotten to eat breakfast or bring their lunch.
- Uniform: At OIS we wear our uniform with pride every day. If your child is going to be out of uniform for any reason, they need to have a signed note from a parent/caregiver. This needs to be given to Mrs Meek or Mrs Hirst who will assign your child a uniform pass.
- Hats: it is important that your child has a blue navy hat at school every day, this can be a cap or bucket hat. Caps are available from the school office for $8 (cash only).
- Phones: if your child needs to bring a phone to school it must be turned off and handed in to their classroom teacher at the start of the day. It will be kept secure until the bell rings at the end of the day.

Early Finish - 3 MARCH at 1.30 pm
Students will finish school at 1.30pm on this day as our staff will be participating in a First Aid Training Course. There will be supervision for those students who catch the bus after school. You must contact the office (4370822) A.S.A.P. to let the office know if you wish your child to be supervised.

UPDATED - Whittaker's Slabs will be distributed next Monday 8 March.
O.I.S. P.T.A. WHITTAKER'S CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER 2021. Our major fundraiser for this year is the sale of Whittaker's Slabs. The success of this delicious and popular fundraiser will provide us with money to assist with the cost of the Shade Sails for our school. The sale price of $2 keeps the process simple. The O.I.S. Alert Level 2...
Kia Ora parents and whanau. The Prime Minister has just announced that we are moving to Alert Level 2. I want to reassure you that we have sound level 2 practices in place for all staff and students. At Alert Level 2 Oamaru Intermediate School will remain open.

YEAR SEVEN VISION SCREENING
The Vision Hearing Technicians from Public Health South will be visiting our school on the Tuesday 16 March to screen all Year 7 for distance vision.

Westpac will be going cheque free soon! With customers choosing to bank digitally, the Westpac have made the decision to discontinue the use of cheques as a method of payment after 25 June, 2021.

Skool Loop App
From this term, we will be rolling out Skool Loop, a way of communicating with our families. This, in time, will enable us to provide an online and direct way to communicate notices and permission slips to all of our families. A way for our families to communicate absences regardless if there is any data on your mobile so absolutely no cost/charge for you. The app is free to download from Apple and Playstore and is very user friendly.
