Tēnā koutou katoa, Malo e lelei, Talofa lava, Bula vinaka. As we approach the final two weeks of the year, I am filled with gratitude for the people I spend my days with and the incredible job I have.
The staff and students at Oamaru Intermediate bring so much laughter, happiness, and energy. I am so grateful to be the Principal of Oamaru Intermediate.
Gratitude has also been a powerful force this year. It allows us to focus on what we have, fostering positivity and resilience. As Melody Beattie said,
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow".
Whether it’s laughter, shared moments, or smiles exchanged, these connections have brightened our days and strengthened our community.
To our Oamaru Intermediate whānau, thank you for being part of your child’s journey with us. During our Digience Assembly next Friday 13 December and Prizegiving on Tuesday 17 December we look forward to celebrating the hard work, growth, and achievements of our students. These moments of celebration and recognition will be a wonderful way to conclude a fantastic year.
Bus Organisation for the next two weeks:
The following buses will not run after the 13 December;
Kurow bus
Georgetown bus
Glenavy bus is not running but will collect the Waitaki Bridge students
Parents/students must update the bus drivers on all other rural buses whether they will be catching the bus on the 16 & 17 December so pickups can be organised.
Lost Property
There is a large quantity of lost property in our Learning Centre. Please make sure your child's uniform is clearly named and ask your child to check lost property for any missing items. Any items unclaimed will be put back in to our second-hand uniform supplies.
Have a great weekend everyone!
