I hope you all enjoyed your Easter break. This week has been a very short week, but a busy one. Some of our school groups started this week: Kapa Haka, Pasifika as well as Choir and the Enviro group. Encourage your child to get involved in one of these activities. If they have not registered yet and they want to, ensure that you get in touch with your child’s classroom teacher.

OIS daily timetable

Moving forward from the beginning of term 2, we are going to trial a 4 block learning timetable, we currently run 3 blocks in a day. We have consulted a number of different intermediates and schools, along with our contributing high schools.

Making a difference in our community

OIS is having a Be Yourself Day next Thursday 15 April and will be collecting cans of food to help fill Salvation Army Food Bank. This means that students can wear their normal clothes for the day - yes that’s right… no uniform!
