Welcome back to everybody for Term 4.

We are excited to welcome Mr Gavin Baumber from Australia. Currently teaching in Room 13, Gavin brings a wide range of skills and experience to O.I.S.

Parents, please talk to your child regarding road safety. We have had a number of phone calls already this week about children on scooters and bikes that are demonstrating unsafe behaviour.

Our Year 8 camps are just around the corner and students should be starting to check their gear lists and sort out what they need to get organised, as well as getting themselves fit and ready for their camp. Any outstanding payments are now due.

All students need to be wearing plain navy sunhats as part of the school uniform. These are available from the school office for $8.

This year we require helpers with our Athletics Day on Friday 1st November. Helpers will be timing, measuring and starting events. The event will run from 9.20 am until 2.45 pm. Please email Sharon Wilson on sharonw@oamaruint.school.nz if you are able to help.
