Our teachers will be attending the Waitaki NZEI Branch Union Meeting on Friday 10th May at 1.30pm. There will be no classes in the afternoon and we would appreciate if you could make arrangements for your child after 12.30pm on that Friday.

We have two staff members leaving us in the next two weeks. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Olivia Brien and Rebecca May for their contribution to teaching and learning at OIS along with the time they've spent coaching sports teams.

Oamaru Intermediate has one of New Zealand’s top school presentations visiting us, an award-winning magician and ventriloquist, Elgregoe. The show is on Wednesday 15 May, for a cost of $5 per student.

Sophie Notman, Ella Symes, Emily Neal, Baxter Lewis and Arthur Cartlidge represented OIS with dignity and respect at the ANZAC parade laying a wreath at the RSA memorial garden.

We have now changed to our winter uniform for the next two terms.
