During the first 10 minutes of the day teachers
- greet the class
- give important notices
- set up the plan for the day
- review what has been learnt
- set the tasks for a lesson
It is not surprising that the children who are late in the morning do not know what is happening, which leaves them unorganised and unsettled for the day. In school often the same two subjects are taught first thing, gaps develop and learning becomes harder.

Year 7 Vision Screening
The Vision Hearing Technicians from the Population Health team, Southern District Health will be visiting our school to screen all Year 7 students for distance vision on 7 August, 2023.

W.G.H.S Open Evening - Thursday 27 July
Parents/Caregivers and students are welcome to attend our Open Evening. Come to the hall at 6.30pm where there will be a short presentation and an opportunity to speak to staff and students at the school.
