Kia ora students, whanau and community

by Belinda Hirst

The start of the year is an exciting time at Oamaru Intermediate. The classes are abuzz with talk, with engagement, and the establishment of new connections and relationships being formed. We also think about our goals and direction for the year, and beyond, and even more so right now. Starting last year, we have been analysing our Strategic Plan, which includes our vision, our mission and our school values. This journey came about due to so many global and societal changes over the past few years. Schools have been placed in everything, from technology and social media to finance, and in New Zealand, a renewed curriculum. As part of this journey, we would appreciate your help with a survey about our Strategic Plan. More details are included below.

2024 Term 1 dates to remember

by Belinda Hirst

Here are some dates to remember of events happening throughout Term 1 at OIS. A reminder that in week 5 we have a Professional Learning Teacher Only Day on Friday 1 March. This day is for Professional Development, as always the school will remain open for any students who do need supervision, otherwise, students will be at home. You must let the office know if your child has to stay at school.
