In the last decade, young people's participation in physical activity and exercise has been in decline. In this digital age, young people are using computers and mobile devices, not only for learning but for relaxation and recreation purposes. This sedentary lifestyle is having a detrimental effect on today’s youth. The key is finding the balance.

P.T.A.WHITTAKER’S CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER 2024 commencing Friday 3 May

Run by the Oamaru Intermediate School PTA, our major fundraiser is the sale of snack-sized Whittaker’s Chocolate bars. The success of this delicious and popular fundraiser will provide us with funds to assist our students in many ways such as enabling guest speakers, providing in-class devices, P.E equipment and E.O.T.C.

Updated guidelines - is your child well enough to go to school?

Children should stay home for five days if they test positive for COVID-19. Children also need to stay home from school if they have another infectious illness that their doctor or the public health service has said they need to isolate.
