Otago Girls’ High School Cross Country 2025

Ms C Hokianga, Sports Coordinator —

A Day of Fun, Records, and Team Spirit.

The annual Otago Girls’ High School Cross Country was held on Wednesday 30th May at Jubilee Park, and despite a gloomy start weather-wise, the enthusiasm and energy of our students shone brightly throughout the day.

From the moment students arrived, the park was filled with excitement, with singing, dancing, and treats adding to the lively atmosphere. It was wonderful to see such positivity, camaraderie, and school spirit on display.

The event kicked off with the serious runners leading the way. A special congratulations goes to Eva McLean (Year 9) who broke the Year 9 Cross Country record—an outstanding achievement! The rest of the school followed, bringing their energy and fun vibes around the course.

A huge thank you to all the staff who helped on the day and to our students for making the event so enjoyable.
