This term we are holding parent teacher interviews. These will be In Person, face to face on Thursday 23 May and ONLINE on Wednesday 5 June. Teachers will be available during the following times for appointments. Parents and caregivers can choose the times and formats that best suit. Parent Interviews can be booked online at www.schoolinterviews.co.nz. Interview bookings will open one week before the first set of interviews on Thursday 16 May, 3 pm and close at 7am on the day of the interviews.

Each interview is five minutes. The Online interviews are spaced with a short crossover in between each appointment during which time you are admitted via the direct link in your interview booking. It is best to avoid back-to-back interviews in case interviews run over time. If two parents or caregivers want to attend the same Whereby meeting from two different locations, please contact the teacher beforehand. Teachers will need to adjust some technical settings to allow this.

Family engagement matters for student success. Research shows that family engagement improves school readiness, student achievement, and social skills. Family engagement does not happen in a vacuum. Rather, it takes the committed actions of both families and schools working together—through parent–teacher conferences and interviews as well as other forms of engagement—to support student success. Through this shared responsibility, schools reach out to and engage families in meaningful ways, and, similarly, families do their part to actively support their children’s learning and development.

Your Online bookings will contain a live Video Interview link that will take you directly to the teacher on the day. It will look like this in your email:
