On Wednesday, 20 September, 10 students from Years 9 and 12 competed at Dunedin City Petanque Club in the annual Otago Secondary Schools Competition. This competition has unfortunately had to take a break due to Covid-19 in the past three years. The club was very appreciative of the interest shown by all the participants. The girls showed amazing skill and dedication to each game, with the majority not having prior experience. Otago Girls' came away with the trophy for highest ranked teams, and the overall winning trophy. The results are as follows:

1st - Jenn Sutherland and Babet Doherty

2nd - Meg Earl and Hebe Leung

4th - Ruby Chisholm and Olivia Findlay

5th - Ella Wilson and Katherine McArthur

6th - Jordyn Pryde and Chloe Day

The club also holds a Secondary Schools Youth League every Tuesday in Terms One and Four, and they welcome anyone, so be sure to look out for the flyer if you are interested.
