Avneet Hira - Resene

My work placement was at Resene. I worked with Jill, a colour consultant, and Les, who works with stock and manages the store. I learned a lot at Resene, like how the store works, where and how to put stock away correctly, and how to tint paint, which is making specific colours from the colour range. I also learned a lot about colours, like how specific lighting can affect the way you see them and how to correctly colour-match interiors and exteriors. With all that knowledge, I am now creating a canvas mood board for the store and a detailed painting of a small exterior model of a villa. I have really enjoyed being able to work and create things at Resene, this work placement has definitely given me a better idea if interior design/architecture is truly what I want to do when I'm older.
