The OGHS Hip Hop teams FLUX and ELEV8 travelled to Christchurch last weekend to compete in the Hip Hop in Schools National Hip Hop competition, as well as The Shakedown. While our school teams performed amazingly, they did not take the top spots this time around, however, we had some fantastic results from our students in their dance school teams. Hayley Ward (Year 13) placed 3rd in the Mini Junior Crew category for her duo ODYSSEY, along with gaining a 2nd place medal in the Small Junior Champions Crew section for her crew DFYNT, as well as Lucy Fitzgerald (Year 12). Year 11 student Emily Aubin, and ex-girl Maya Satake won the Small Junior Hip Hip Unite Crew category with their team Allies, who have just been off competing at Worlds, as well as getting 3rd in Varsity category at the Shakedown.
