WORK EXPERIENCE - RUNAWAY PLAY - Game and App Development

Samantha Couper Year 12 —

At Runaway Play, Emma and I sat out in the Petri dish space and talked to lots of the people who work there.

Zoe introduced us to everyone and told us more about what they do in their specific jobs which was really enlightening. There were different groups of people working on different games as well as the marketing team. On Wednesday morning, there was a whole team meeting where everyone gathered around and Zoe and the project leaders discussed how the company and their games were going. It was so cool to see how their company works and how much information they share with the employees. By the end of the week, we had learnt so much more about programming in Unity and C# and we were so thankful to have had this opportunity. Not only did it make building our apps for class a lot easier, but we also got a lot of insight into what it would be like to work in a game developing company.
