Last Friday, Year 10 Economics held a Market Day selling lots of yummy food. I was fortunate enough to be a part of one of these groups. Along with Ella Cone and Larissa Silva, we made plenty of waffles for our fellow students to enjoy. We honestly didn’t expect to do as well as we did as we weren’t sure how many people would turn up. Market day was such an amazing experience, and gave me an insight into what working in the food industry would be like. Together we learnt about floats, profit, covering expenses and price setting which will all be very useful later in life. This experience helped me become closer with my group, and have more financial knowledge for the future. Thank you to all the staff who helped out with Market Day, and to everyone who supported PELP waffles, we couldn’t have done it without you guys!
