On Wednesday, five junior students competed against four students from Otago Boys' in the contested 'Tennyson Shield'. The competition, which is usually held annually, has been impacted by Covid in the last few years, so it was great to have it back and returned to its former glory! The OGHS A Debating team of Allison Han, Lily Robertson and Melitiana White took out first in their debate, and speakers Hannah Fleming and Ruby Lund took out first and second in the speech component respectively. The Shield was won by Otago Girls' and will remain here until the competition is held again next year.
