Year 13 Geography recently completed field-trips to Tunnel Beach and St Clair/ St Kilda beaches to complete their research internal.

After a long period of studying the theory of coastal processes over the lockdown period, students were finally able to immerse themselves (not literally) in the beach environments, seeing first-hand the dramatic coastal landscapes that make up the Dunedin coastal environment.

Students were also visited by Tom Simons-Smith, Coastal Manager at the DCC who shared many insights into the complexity of managing the coast and united students to be part of the community consultation process around the 100 year plan for St Clair and St Kilda.
